Natural Change Retreats are for people who want to make a change – in their personal life, their professional work, in the world around them or all three. Away from day-to-day distractions and pressures, our retreats offer a unique and powerful opportunity to clarify what really matters to you, to discern your next steps, and to build the capacity and courage to follow your heart.
On our week long retreat you will be gently guided through a series of beautiful, powerful practices that reconnect you with yourself, with others and with nature.
By reconnecting with yourself you will rekindle and nuture the inner fire that defines your true self, illuminates profound insights about your life path and strengthens your commitment and resolve in the face of adversity.
By reconnecting with others you will experience the liberation and joy of deep, open, honest communication and the power of authenticity.
By reconnecting with nature, you will be inspired by the beauty and mystery of the web of life; nature’s complexity and energy will catalyse new perspectives, creativity and fresh thinking.
Deeply refreshed and inspired you will be ready and able to make the changes that matter to you.
A week out of time
Saturday: Arriving We meet in the afternoon for a welcome to the venue, introductions and an overview of the programme before having dinner together.
Sunday: Exploring the terrain A day dedicated to slowing down, unwinding and meeting the group and the land. Finding ways to reconnect with our intuition through creative practice, hints of new perspectives start to emerge; mindfully engaging all our senses releases tensions and opens us to new ways of relating to the world around us.
Monday: Finding direction In this unique and gentle process, with roots in indigenous practice, we work with the four cardinal directions. We journey both inwards with our imagination and outwards through the land, gathering often unexpected insights into what truly matters to us.
Tuesday: Going solo Time alone in nature for quest and contemplation is part of many cultural and spiritual traditions. Today’s dawn until dusk solo is the heart of the Natural Change process; an unrivalled opportunity to tap into the transformative power of nature.
Wednesday: Sharing stories The day starts with time alone to reflect on our solo experience and what we might like to share with the group. This leads into an extraordinary, beautiful and often profoundly powerful story-telling circle.
Thursday: Making meaning Through creative processes and deep engagement with nature, we reflect on our experiences. We explore what they might mean for us once we leave this place and how we might learn from our insights to shift our ways of being in the world.
Friday: Returning to the world We say farewell to the land that has held us and the people that have been part of our experience here.
Our retreats take no more than sixteen people with a team of three facilitators ensuring an exceptional level of experience and support.
The programme may vary in response to the weather and the needs of participants.
